Extensive trial experience and strong relationships in the legal community enable us to prepare your case for trial at the same time that we are negotiating for settlement.  While a fair and equitable settlement is always our goal, the only way to know for sure that a settlement is fair and ensure that we are in a position to negotiate is to be prepared for trial.  We see the judges and their staff all the time, and we make sure to remain current on court requirements and the law to ensure you the best service possible.

Christa L. Coxon is a Novi High School Graduate, with a B.A. from Indiana University-Bloomington.  She went on to study law at IU, including study in Dublin, Ireland, and Prague, Czech Republic and a Public Interest Law Fellowship at the Clark County Circuit Court Pro Bono Advocates Domestic Violence Advocates Clinic in Chicago.  After completing her JD, Christa went on to work as a lobbyist in Washington, DC, and for the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board in Virginia.  She co-founded and managed the GAAP Project known as Lawyers for Equal Access of Metro Detroit-- LEAD from 1998-2001, and has worked for firms such as Hoffman & Wartell in Southfield, Michigan, and Harris & Literski in Brighton, Michigan. With experience in commercial real estate, public interest law, and international human rights issues, Christa is able to bring her unique experience to the mediation table and the courtroom in her effort to assist her clients.  Christa was admitted to practice before the Michigan Bar and U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan in 1996, and the U.S. Supreme Court in December 2002.  She is formally trained in General Civil and Domestic Relations Mediation.
